Bishop Elect Joseph Williams is a native of Dunn, North Carolina and a bona fide PK (preacher’s kid). Raised by a woman “full-of-faith”, he was destined for ministry.
After graduating from Dunn High School in Harnett County North Carolina, He joined the U. S. Airforce where he served for four years at Pope Airforce Base, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Upon returning to Dunn in 1980, he attended Johnston Community College in Smithfield, North Carolina where he received an Associate Degree in Automotive Mechanics, (including Diesel and Welding).
In addition to serving as Moore’s Chapel’s musician, he was also ordained as a Deacon to help oversee the business of the church.
Joseph has been married to Lenora (Pitts)Williams for 43 years and they have six children, eleven grandchildren and one great-grand child.
His motto is: “If you’ve tried everything else and it hasn’t worked for you, why don’t you try God”.
Elder Elect Lenora Williams is a native of Washington DC. She attended local area public schools and is a graduate of Chamberlain Vocational High School. After graduation, she began working with the Federal Government from which she retired in February 2010 after 33 years of service.
She currently serves as Church Secretary, Adult Bible Class Teacher, and Food Coordinator. Nothing can surpass the choice she made at the age of 22 to dedicate her life to the Lord. She enjoys serving God and people through Him.
She is married to Deacon Joseph Williams and they have six children, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
